This is Douglas Falls on the Nort Fork, Blackwater River near Thomas, West Virginia.

I have visited this place for many years now. The view and emotion never gets old. Some times the water is at just a trickle, but today the water had a decent flow.

Usually I am there when there is little flow and the water is
not able to glaze the rock flats as it is doing in this image.

If you have never been there, the rocks have this color from acid, due to many years of mining in the early years of last century.
