The Potomac River winds it's way from the mountains of West Virginia and Maryland from it's source at the Fairfax Stone (West Virginia) and along the way passing many small towns while separating West Virginia and Maryland and later Maryland and Virginia.

In this early morning scene, three states are visible from this outcropping called Split Rock. Across the river is Maryland and the small community of Sandy Hook.
