Climbing the grade on the Cass Scenic Railroad, Shay Locomotive #6 pushes against our train in an area above the old abondoned mill town of Spruce. Behind our train, you can see in the distance, a motor car following our train up the mountain. The crew of the motor car are on fire watch duty. The Fall colors were especially nice at this point but were past peak just a few hundred yards farther up the grade.
